The Dual Lock shootbolt from Yale is a high-quality window lock system for outward opening casement windows.
Available in 20, 22 and 26mm backsets, with a choice of standard 7.7, 9.0 and 10.5mm mushroom cam heights, Dual Lock fits most profile systems currently in use. ‘No Cam’ variants make Dual Lock suitable for the passive sash on French casement windows.
Fabricators can choose to crop the extensions to length, or opt for the Non-Crop solution.
In both cases, the central gearbox features a pair of bi-directional mushroom cams. These lock into both sides of a standard night vent striker plate to create a strong locking point in the centre of the sash. Extensions are then added to provide shootbolt locking and additional mushroom bolts near the corners.
The ‘Advanced’ gearbox ensures smooth operation and is the same size across Dual Lock shootbolts and twin cam security espagnolettes. This simplifies production lines where both products are used.
The croppable variant covers sashes from 312 – 1422mm, whilst the non-crop ‘extendable’ option covers 474 – 1572mm.
The Dual Lock shootbolt meets the requirements of PAS24:2022 and is approved by Secured by Design as a Police Preferred Specification.
